Just a song a twilight, when the lights are low, And the flick'ring shadows softly come and go, Tho' the heart be weary, sad the day and long, Still to us at twilight comes Love's old song, comes Love's old sweet song. Even today we hear Love's song of yore, Deep in our hearts it dwells forevermore. Footsteps may falter, weary grow the way, Still we can hear it at the close of day. So till the end, when life's dim shadows fall, Love will be found the sweetest song of all. 'Love's Old Sweet Song'는 1884년 James Lynam Molloy가 작곡하고 G. Clifton Bingham가 가사를 붙인 빅토리아 시대의 '팔러 송 (parlour song : 중산층 가정에서 아마츄어들이 부르는 노래)'이다. 종종 코러스 부분의 가사 첫줄 'Just A Song At Twilight (노래 하나 별 하나)'가 제목으로 잘못 알고 있기도 하다. 이 노래는 John McCormack, Clara Butt 등 많은 가수들이 불렀다. James Joyce의 Ulysses에는 Molly Bloom이 이 노래를 부른 것으로 언급되어 있다. 1923년 DeForest Phonofilm 의 Two-reel 짜리 짧은 영화에 녹음된 적이 있고, 1926년 John Barrymore의 'The Sea Beast' 에도 오케스트라 악보의 주제음악으로 등장하기도 했다.
