Yeats, William Butler (1865.6.13~1939.1.28)

아일랜드의 시인·극작가.   1891년 동료들과 아일랜드 문예협회를 창립, 당시 팽배하던 아일랜드 문예부흥운동에 참가하였으며, 1899년에 아일랜드 국민극장을 더블린에 창립하였다. 낭만적인 주제와 서정적인 심상心象을 즐겨 묘사하였다. 1923년 노벨문학상을 受賞하였다. Narration: Michael Sheen 시의 원 제목은 "Aedh Wishes for the Cloths of Heaven" 로 Yeats의 이 시에 등장하는 "Aedh" 는 Michael Robartes 와 Red Hanrahan 와 함께 한 사람의 정신적 동인(動因)을 표징하는 허구의 3사람 중의 하나이다. 나중 Yeats의 시집으로 묶어지면서 "Aedh" 대신 좀더 포괄적인 "He"로 바뀌었다.
