『Downtown』 은 영국 음악 차트 역사상 가장 상업적으로 성공한 여가수 「Petula Clark」(1932년생)이 1964년발표한 곡으로, 이듬해 내놓은 앨범의 타이틀 곡이다. 「Petula Clark」은 1964년 『Downtown』을 영국에서 히트 시킨 후, 다음 해인 1965년 미국을 강타하며, 영국 여성 가수로 최초로 Billboard 챠트 1위를 기록했고, 연간 순위 6위에 랭크 되었다.
